Charlotte's New Attire

When I first found out I was pregnant one of the first things Nick did was look into cloth diapering. We wanted to not only do the best thing for our daughter but do something good for the environment. There were TONS of different choices; pre-folds, all in ones, one size, covers, inserts, etc... It was completely overwhelming and we had no idea where to even start. Needless to say we decided to go with disposables. Now that Charlotte is here and we have a schedule and I kinda have this "mom" thing down we decided to look into cloth diapering for a second time. We weighed out the pro's and con's and we decided that it was in all of our best intrest to go ahead and take the plunge. We went to a local baby botique in Redlands called Kissui and checked out there selection. The store was fantastic and the employees were so helpful. We looked at each one and we decided to go with the Bum Genius All In One 3.0 and so far they are AMAZING. They are seriously just as easy to use as disposables and are not bulky at all. I feel so good knowing that Charlotte's little bum is going to be healther, happier, and rash free, we are going to save a TON of money, and we will be doing something good for the enviroment. Here is the info on the diapers that we bought and here are some of the cute new colors that they have.

The highlights...
An all-in-one is a cloth diaper with the absorbent layer integrated into the waterproof outer layer. It goes on in one step.
No stuffing, no diaper cover and no folding means that this is the easiest-to-use and quite possibly, the most convenient diapering system you can buy.
These fantastic all-in-one diapers are made with an outer fabric that is safe to wash in hot water. The closures are hook & loop, just like disposable diapers.
The inner-core is ultra-absorbent.
The hidden opening allows you to add extra absorbency to the diaper when needed.

The lining fabric keeps your baby's bottom dry.
The tabs have that stretch that you love in deluxe disposable diapers.
The ultra-gentle leg elastic will keep the messes in!
The details...
Stretchy tabs, hook & loop closures and ultra-gentle leg/back casings guarantee a great fit every time. The soakers are made of our exclusive Cotton Babies microfiber terry. This ensures that your diaper isn't just super-absorbent, it also dries quickly. Just like our pockets, the suedecloth lining keeps your baby's bottom dry and free of irritation caused by wetness and ultra-gentle elastic won't leave red marks.

Oooh! You've piqued my interest! I may have to look into that for our 2nd one. Can I ask how much they cost? Also, how many diapers do you buy to start with? How often are you doing laundry?
